BEATLES, THE - 1 (2015 CD+DVD/REMASTERED)
Halverwege de jaren 60 stoppen de FAB FOUR met touren, omdat het wereldwijd promoten van nieuwe muziek niet meer te doen is. Toch begrijpen The Beatles heel goed dat promotie op mondiale schaal loont. De banleden komen met het idee om een ‘mini film’ per liedje te maken. De videoclip zoals wij die kennen, is geboren!
Uiteindelijk maken The Beatles voor liefst 42 nummers een ‘mini film’ en voor zeven andere tracks zelfs verschillende opnamen. 23 van deze unieke clips zijn nooit eerder te zien geweest.
Nu, 15 jaar na de originele release van Beatles 1, worden alle 50 filmpjes voor het eerst vrijgegeven.
Apple is ruim 2 jaar bezig geweest om alle films te verzamelen en te restaureren; het resultaat is waanzinnig! Naast de beelden is ook de audio van “1” onder handen genomen en opnieuw gemixt en gemasterd door niemand minder dan Giles Martin. - Extra informatie
