BROUSSARD, MARC

De uit Lousiana afkomstige singer/songwriter Marc Broussard brengt na twee jaar afwezigheid een gloednieuw album uit. Op 10 juni 2011 verschijnt zijn titelloze album Marc Broussard. Het album wordt gekenmerkt door een mix van pop, soul, funk en R&B invloeden en bevat onder andere de heerlijke uptempo single Only Everything (Apple Tree).

Het album is het vijfde studioalbum van Marc Broussard. "This is as honest as any record I've ever made," legt hij uit. "I wasn't trying to surprise the listener. We just took some of the basic feelings as well as some of the more specific stories surrounding my life and applied them to the lyrics."

De 29-jarige zoon van gitarist Ted Broussard debuteerde op 20-jarige leeftijd met zijn debuutalbum Momentary Setback. Hierna volgden de albums Carencro (2002), S.O.S. Save Our Soul (2007) en Keep Coming Back (2008).
