GROBAN, JOSH - STAGES

Het nieuwe album van Grammy award winnaar Josh Groban is getiteld Stages. Het album is een verzameling van de grootste musical- en theatersongs aller tijden, die Groban omschrijft als: “…gorgeously arranged songs that have stood the test of time with a incredible melody and story. Nothing has inspired me more in my life than the energy that is shared in a theater when great songs and great art are on the stage. I wanted this album to pay tribute to those inspirations and memories.”

Stages is geproduceerd door Humberto Gatica en Bernie Herms en opgenomen in zowel Los Angeles als de Londense Abbey Road studio met een 75-koppig orkest. Op Stages zijn onder andere nummers terug te horen uit de musicals Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd, The Wizard of Oz en Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. Tevens staan op het album drie duetten met Kelly Clarkson (All I Ask of You), Audra McDonald (If I Loved You) en trompettist Chris Botti (Old Devil).
